USA Services - Seeding and Over Seeding
Areas to be seeded will be power raked to loosen the soil and prepare
the seedbed. Seed and starter fertilizer will then be broadcast
over the area. The area will then be power raked "lightly"
going in the opposite direction to set the seed in the seed bed
insuring good seed soil contact.
Benefits of Spot Seeding Your Lawn:
This method of seeding is most effective for shady areas. Large
bare areas can be effectively renovated, thus avoiding the high
cost of sodding. Damaged areas can be spot-seeded, thus avoiding
the cost of seeding the whole lawn.
There are many reasons to seed a lawn and many ways to do it. Lawns
may need seed to fill in thin spots, or areas damaged by disease
or insects, such as Grubs. You need to seed new lawns or over seed
sodded lawns.
Lawns USA uses the best blended seed on the market each year. We
check the blends of seed available and there germination history.
The better the germination rate the sooner the lawn thickens up.
Seeded lawns will provide you with a much healthier turf then sodded
lawns. Grass growing where it was seeded will produce a root system
faster promoting faster growing grass.
Lawns USA yard maintenance does over-seeding with core aerations,
this provides a resting place for the seed to germinate. We also
do Slit-Seeding, this cuts grooves in the soil and places the seed
in the ground. You than get rows of grass growing in about 10 days.
This is a great way to start a new lawn or to repair a damaged lawn.
Our seeding work is guaranteed. If any areas do not germinate we
will gladly re do those areas. It is are desire to provide you with
a great looking lawn.
