Lawnsm USA Services - Tree and Shrub CareLeaves

Your trees and shrubs represent a growing investment worth protecting. Our professional tree and shrub care program of scheduled inspection and treatment helps to keep all of your ornamentals healthy and in top growing condition.

There are many insects and diseases, which can attack and infest your landscape. With our Tree & Shrub service, we can help combat these problems while providing adequate nutrition needs of your ornamentals. Each landscape is different. Our plan of protection can include insect management, disease management, dormant applications, and tree & shrub fertilization. In some landscapes, tree & shrub fertilization may be all that's usually needed. In others with ornamentals that are more prone to insect and disease problems, 2-5 regularly scheduled treatments would work better.

In designing a custom Plant Health Care program for your property, our representative will carefully evaluate the overall health of your plants and base all recommendations on the specific needs of each of these plants. Some of the components of Plant Health Care may involve fertilization, insect and disease management, proper pruning, proper mulching and proper watering.

We understand and appreciate the value of your landscape investment. Contact us for a free evaluation of your trees and shrubs and our recommendations to you.

Merit/Dormant Oil Treatment

Certain shrubs are prone to scale insect problems. This can be prevented by an early winter treatment of horticulture oil, which smothers the insects. Azaleas can also be treated with a pre-season systemic insecticide called Merit, which will provide about 5 months of control of Lacebugs, a common pest on Azaleas.

Insect/Disease Control

Foliar treatment of liquid insect/disease control plum foliar fertilizer. This can be applied during the year from April until September from 1-3 times per season. We can also do treatments on an as-needed basis. If this treatment is consistently done every season 2-3 times, it should substantially cut back on the frequency and severity of insect and disease problems. The fertilizer applied will also help your ornamentals look and perform better.

Azalea Fertilization

Foliar treatment of liquid insect/disease control plus foliar fertilizer. This special treatment is applied after the blooms are done in late May or early June. At that time, Lacebugs can often be a damaging pest on Azaleas, so this treatment should prevent early season infestation. We also apply a granular Osmocote slow-release fertilizer for season-long feeding along with sulfur to lower your pH. All Azaleas will benefit from this important treatment.

Late Fall Tree & Shrub Fertilization

Liquid deep-root feeding of all trees and shrubs in your landscape. This important service is provided between Nov. 15th and into January. Proper fertilization helps provide a healthy plant, which will perform better in your landscape. This is one of the most important ornamental treatments.
